About Me
My Background

I bring a wealth of professional development experience, knowledge and practice in Cognitive Coaching, Adult Social and Emotional Learning, Resilience work, Mentoring for Equity, Culturally Responsive Mentoring and Teaching, Mentoring for English Learner Success, and Anti-Bias Education.

Cultivating a Culturally Responsive Lens
Culturally responsive practice integrates examining social identities and culture, tools from social emotional learning, anti-bias work, relationship building, and achieving rigorous standards for teachers and leaders. I will help you integrate a culturally responsive lens into the work you do.
As a white-identified woman leading and learning from this work, I can also help support other white people looking at the role of “whiteness” in cultivating anti-racist,culturally responsive practices, while supporting and learning from people of color in the organization.
Learning From Others, Working With Conflict as a Creative Force
Supporting Others to Grow Their Wisdom
I’m passionate about coaching, and continuing to build my skills at deep listening and reflective language in order to empower the person being coached to grow their own wisdom. I’m passionate about designing and leading professional development that is interactive and truly worth the time of the people that attend. I’m passionate about helping to address injustice and inequity whether it lives in systems, or in individual bias. I love the process of collaboration, and the creativity that can be found in working with people of diverse points of view and experience to create new ideas and practices. I’m curious and excited to see how professional development that formerly relied on in-person contact can now be re-imagined within the on-line world that is required of us now. Within the current crisis there are also new possibilities.
